Overview
Managed by the Elk Grove Historical Society, San Joaquin Township Justice Court and Jail was built in 1912 and served the surrounding area and contains the last remaining cells from the Sacramento prison ship.
Open for free tours the first Saturday of each month from 12 noon to 4 PM and by appointment for group tours. Closed in the months of January, November, and December.
